What about the food, life, and music of Suseong-gu

from the perspective of Rini from Bandung City, Indonesia?

Let's go meet it now!

우리는 K-Drama, 버라이어티 쇼, 리얼리티 쇼 등에서 한식을 찾아볼 수 있습니다.

한국 요리는 매우 다양하면서 대표적으로 유명한 음식들이 많아

시청자들이 항상 관심을 가졌습니다.

제가 생각하는 한국 요리의 특징은 다음과 같습니다.

​

- 반찬이라고 부르는 한국 요리에는 야채와 소규모 요리가 많습니다.☘

- 김치, 장아찌 등의 발효식품이 있습니다.🌱

- 한국 요리는 몸에 좋은 육수나 국을 사용합니다.

-그 요리는 아름다운 색깔로 제공됩니다.

We can find korean cuisine in K-Drama, Variety Show, Reality Show etc.

Korean cuisine is always well presented in terms of variety and the presentation so the audience of the show will always be interested.

These are the characteristic of korean cuisine :

- There are a lot of vegetables and side dishes

In korean cuisine known as Banchan (반찬) ☘

- Fermented food such as Kimchi (김치) and Pickles 🌱

- Korean cuisine uses broth or soup which is benecial for our health

- The cuisine is presented in beautiful color.

김치(kimchi)

한국에 있을 때 한국 음식을 많이 먹어 봤습니다. 😛

수성구에서 운영하는 모명재 한국 전통 문화 체험관에서는

동의보감 요리 교실을 운영하고 있습니다.

우리는 거기에서 건강에 좋은 한식을 준비하는 법을 배웠습니다.

또한 비타민, 단백질, 섬유질, 칼슘

그리고 미네랄과 같은 음식 영양에 대해서도 배웠습니다.

제가 한국에서 경험한 또 다른 경험은 막창 구이를 맛본 것입니다 .

수성구청 직원들은 막창이 대구의 명물이라고 합니다.

특히 소주와 맥주라는 한국 술을 곁들이면 막창의 맛이 더 좋았습니다. 🍻🍖

그 외에도 오뎅, 짜장면, 냉면, 라면 , 삼계탕 , 닭 튀김, 짬뽕, 잡채 등

다양한 음식을 먹어보았습니다.

제가 먹어본 모든 한국 음식은 그들만의 특별한 맛이 있습니다. 😋

When I was in Korea, I tried many korean food. 😛

The Momyeongjae Korean Traditional Culture Center

operated by Suseong-gu operates Donguibogam Cooking Class.

We learned how to prepare healthy korean cuisine.

We also learned about food nutrition

such as vitamin, protein, fiber, calcium and mineral.

Other experience I ever have in Korea was tasting roasted Makchang (Pig’s gut). Suseong-gu employees told me that Makchang is Daegu’s specialty.

Makchang tasted great, especially

when you add korean alcohol drink called Soju (소주) and Maekju (맥주). 🍻🍖

I also tried other korean food such as tteokbokki(떡볶이), odeng (오뎅),

Jajangmyeon (짜장면) , nengmyeon (냉면), ramyeon (라면), samgyetang (삼계탕), Korean fried chicken (치킨), Jjambbong (짬뽕), japchae (잡채)

and other korean food.

Every korean food I ever taste have their own specialty. 😋

막창(Makchang)

인도네시아에도 맛있는 전통 음식이 많습니다.

모든 장소에는 각자의 특별한 요리가 있습니다.

반둥 지방에는 많은 종류의 전통 삼발

(붉은 고추, 강판에 간 양파, 라임, 오일, 식초를 섞어 만든 인도네시아의 양념)

과 함께 제공되는 순다 요리로 유명합니다. 👍

인도네시아 사람들은 대부분 신선한 칠리로 만든 삼발을 좋아합니다.

인도네시아 사람들은 삼발로 만든 요리로 식사를 합니다.

반둥에서 유명한 삼발로 만든 요리는 나시 리웨트, 나시 팀벨,

미에 코콕, 소토 반둥, 쿠안키, 바타고르 반둥, 카레독, 삼발 다닥 등입니다.

한국과 인도네시아 음식의 차이로는

인도네시아인의 대다수는 돼지고기 관련 음식 섭취가 금지된 이슬람교도입니다.

따라서 반둥에서는 돼지고기를 기본으로 하는 요리를 찾기가 어렵습니다.

또한 다양한 반찬이 엄청 많이 나오는 한국에 비해 인도네시아는 반찬이 거의 없습니다.

끝으로 한국에서는 동료와 저녁을 먹을 때 술을 많이 마시지만

인도네시아에서는 술이 금지되어 있습니다. 🍻

Indonesia also have a lot of delicious traditional food.

Every place have their own specialty.

West Java is known for Sundanese food served

with many kind of traditional sambal. 👍

Most of Indonesian like sambal which is made from fresh chili.

People in Indonesia is used to eat with sambal.

In Bandung, well-known culinary are Nasi Liwet, Nasi Timbel, Mie Kocok,

Soto Bandung, Cuanki, Batagor Bandung, Karedok, Sambel dadak and a lot more.

Majority of Indonesians are muslim

which is prohibited to consume pork related food.

In Bandung it is hard to find pork-based culinary.

In Korea, food is presented with so many side dishes,

while in Indonesia you will not find any side dishes.

Other thing, in Korea when you have dinner with colleague

there will be alcohol based drinks

while in Indonesia you won’t find any because it is prohibited. 🍻

한국 사람들은 어른들에게 친절하고 예의가 매우 바른 것으로 알려져 있습니다.👩‍👩‍👧‍👦

그들은 나이가 많은 사람을 만나면 존경의 표시로 인사하고 허리를 굽혀야 합니다.

어른들과 대화할 때 더 공손하고 격식을 차리는 언어(높임말)를 사용합니다.

이것은 인도네시아 사람들이 연장자들을 만나면 인사를 하고 정중하게 이야기를 나누지만, 허리를 숙이지 않고 악수만 하는 것과는 차이가 있습니다.

또한 술이 금지된 인도네시아와 달리

한국은 술로 신입생이나 신입 사원 등을 맞이하는 전통이 있습니다.

Korean people known as friendly and very polite to their elders.👩‍👩‍👧‍👦

When they meet someone older,

they must greet and bow as a symbol of respect.

When they talk to elders, they use more polite and formal language (Nophimal). This is identical to Indonesian,

when they meet elders Indonesian will also greet,

talk politely but they will not bow, only shake hands.

Also Korean have tradition to greet newcomers with alcohol drink

while Indonesia alcohol drinks is prohibited.

한국의 도로 구석구석은 깨끗한데,

이는 사회가 쓰레기를 버리지 않는 문화가 조성되어 있고

쓰레기를 분리수거 하기 때문입니다. 😄

인도네시아 사람들은 쓰레기 문제를 가지고 있습니다.

그들은 쓰레기를 분리수거 하지 않고 많은 사람들이 아무 곳에나 쓰레기를 버립니다.

이 나쁜 습관은 또 다른 문제를 야기합니다.

쓰레기가 수로를 막아서 비가 올 때 사방이 물에 잠기는 것입니다.

이것은 반둥시에 심각한 문제입니다.

Every inch in korea is clean,

this is because the society never litter and

they divide their trash into categories. 😄

Indonesian people have problem with trash.

They never divide their trash into categories

and a lot of people throw away trash everywhere.

This bad habit create another problem :

flood everywhere when rain is coming because trash block waterway.

This is serious problem for Bandung City.

한국인들은 목적지까지 걸어가고 대중교통을 이용하는 것을 좋아합니다. 🚌

걷는 것으로 그들은 몸을 건강하게 유지할 수 있습니다.

수성구에 있을 때는 아파트에서 사무실까지 걸어 다녔습니다.

보행자는 어디에나 있고, 대중교통도 잘 관리되어 있기 때문에

한국인들은 걷고 대중교통을 이용하는 것을 매우 좋아합니다.

인도네시아에서는 대중교통이 통합되어 있지 않고,

편안함과는 거리가 멀며

목적지에 도착하는 데 시간이 더 걸리기 때문에

대중교통을 마지막 선택으로 생각합니다.

인도네시아 사람들은 대체로

그들의 개인 차량을 사용하는 것을 당연하게 생각합니다.🚙🚕

Korean walk to their destination and they love to use public transportation. 🚌

By walking they can keep their body healthy.

When I was in Suseong, I walked from apartment to the office.

Pedestrian is everywhere, public transportation also well-managed

that’s why korean love to walk and use public transportations.

In Indonesia, people put public transportation as their last choice

because it isn’t integrated,

far from comfortable and take longer to arrive to their destination. 🚙🚕

한국의 K-pop 음악 산업이 시장의 선두 주자가 된 것은

다른 나라들에 좋은 본보기가 됩니다.

보이그룹이나 걸그룹 외에도,

그들은 K-Drama OST나 K-Movie OST로 알려져 있습니다.

제가 생각하기로는 하단의 요소들이

한국 음악 산업이 시장의 선두주자가 될 수 있도록 기여한 것들입니다.

💛 정부는 한국의 창조적인 경제 성장을 돕는 음악 산업에 전폭적인 지원을 하고 있습니다.

💙 아티스트가 팬들과 직접 소통할 수 있도록 소셜 미디어를 대대적으로 활용합니다.

🧡 걸그룹이나 보이그룹의 잘 준비된 공연들,

심지어 영화나 드라마의 ost들도 상당히 인상적입니다.

South Korea can be set as an good example

about how they managed to set their music industry

which is known as K-pop as one of market leader.

Beside Boyband or Girlband, they are known for K-Drama OST or K-Movie OST. These are things that help korean music industy become one of market leader :

💛 Government provides full support in music Industry

which help Korea creative economic grow.

💙 Massive use of social media to help artists interact directly to their fans.

🧡 Well-packaged performance from girlband or boyband.

Even the soundtrack from K-Drama or K-film is impressive.

한국의 대중가수(Korean pop singers)

인도네시아의 대중가수(Indonesian pop singers)

인도네시아 음악 산업도 외국 음악가들의 영향을 받으며 성장하고 있습니다.

인도네시아에는 2023년 6월 기준 2억 7천 8백만명의 인구가 있으며,

인도네시아의 음악 산업은 가장 큰 시장 중 하나로 자리 잡았습니다. 👍

안타깝게도 인도네시아의 음악 산업은

이미 정부의 지원을 잘 받고 있는 한국의 음악 산업과 달리

여전히 로열티, 저작권 문제 등의 과제에 직면해 있었습니다.

인도네시아 정부가 음악 산업을 더 지원한다면,

국제 시장에서 빛을 발할 인도네시아 예술가들이 더 많이 나올 것입니다.

현대음악 외에도 인도네시아와 한국은 그들만의 전통 노래와 악기가 있습니다.

그들은 그들의 문화를 반영하는 그들만의 독특한 특징을 가지고 있습니다.

전통가요는 현대가요만큼 대중적이지는 않지만

그래도 우리는 전통가요를 문화의 한 부분으로 보존해야 합니다.💖

Indonesian music industry is growing,

they are influenced by foreign musician too.

There are 278 million of Indonesian people as of June 2023,

this number put music industry in Indonesia as one of the largest market. 👍Unfortunately, music industry in Indonesia still faced with challenges

such as royalty and copyright problem that are still weak in

regulation, contrary to music Industry in Korea

that already well-regulated and supported by government.

If Indonesian government support music industry more,

there will be a lot of Indonesian artist that will shine in International market.

Beside modern music, both Indonesia and Korea

have their own traditional song and instrument. They have their own unique characteristic which reflect their culture.

Traditional songs are not as popular as modern songs,

but still we have to preserve traditional song as a part of culture. 💖
